Hey everyone, just wondering if anyone has experience with this. I recently opened a small eco-friendly gift shop in Nanaimo — mostly handmade stuff from local artists and a few imported sustainable products. Business has been decent, but I’m really trying to get more local traffic without spending a ton on ads. I came across this site when looking up directories for BC, and it looks pretty solid. But I’m not sure if it’s mainly for mainland BC or if stores on Vancouver Island can list too. Anyone know if I can use it for my shop?

Yup, you totally can! I had the same concern when I was setting up my own page for a service business in Victoria last year. I wasn’t sure if the reach included the Island, but turns out it does. I added my listing through [bc local](https://www.britishcolumbialocal.ca/) and had no trouble getting set up. Here's the site. The form was simple, and after a couple of days, I was showing up in search for local services. It’s not just for big cities either — smaller towns and areas across BC are definitely covered.

Funny coincidence — I stumbled onto that site when looking for a plumber in Courtenay. Found someone local in less than five minutes, which surprised me since most directories are pretty hit-or-miss around here. Seems like a handy resource for both business owners and customers.
