Pukwudgie | Cryptid 5e Monster

Pukwudgies are creatures best left alone, a fact known by every local that lives near these fey creatures. Apparently, long ago, there was a mortal that annoyed a pukwudgie so much that the pukwudgies that came after were compelled to show a hate towards interfering and nosy humans.

Thankfully, this hate manifests into tricks and pranks that the pukwudgie plays on humans. Although one should be warned that these are by no means harmless. A pukwudgie is entirely comfortable pushing you off a cliffside for a laugh and there's nothing you can do about it. They also enjoy stabbing you with their spiny quills, and their true form is that of a half-human, half-porcupine type design. They can change their body and form whenever they like however, and will usually be disguised as the forest's robin or rabbit that one could come across on their next adventure.

Pukwudgies also are capable of casting fey magic, and are very intent on nailing annoying heroes and adventurers with acid, poison, and fire before quickly transforming back into the local wildlife.

Another little known fact about Pukwudgies is their immensely powerful ability to mask themselves with invisibility and be blocked from the naked eye's vision for an indefinite amount of time. And although the Pukwudgie's preference is usually to change their shape into the forms of other animals, they can be virtually undetectable in but an instant.

Porcupine Spines. The pukwudgie sprays quills in a 10-foot radius around them. Each creature in the radius must make a DC 13 Dexterity saving throw, taking 7 (2d6) piercing damage on a failed save, or half as much on a success.

Spine Strike. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit 5 (1d4 + 3) piercing damage.

Superior Invisibility. The pukwudgie magically turns invisible until its concentration ends (as if concentrating on a spell). Any equipment the pukwudgie wears or carries is invisible with it.
